ECOC 2011

Dear ECOC Community,

We are proud to announce the final program of the 37th European Conference on Optical Communication  ECOC Taking place in Geneva from September 18 to 22 http://www.ecoc2011.org/

ECOC 2011 is bigger than ever with 18 Workshops, 5 plenary talks, 6 tutorials, 6 special symposiums, more than 40 invited, 230 oral, 120 poster and expected 20 post deadline presentations at the forefront of research dealing with burning issues and challenges. ECOC 2011 will give researchers and excellent overview on the state of the art in their field, the possibility for career changers to speed up their pace by listening to tutorials and workshops. ECOC 2011 offers also for everybody an excellent opportunity for networking.

In addition, the on-site exhibition will give you an opportunity to see the products and prototypes of the most prominent manufacturers in our field http://www.ecocexhibition.com/  and to listen to market focus seminars with prominent speakers from Google, Huawei, Finisar, JDSU, just to name a few.

This year we have many events dedicated to FTTH with plenary talks by Mr. C. Schloter (CEO of Swisscom) and Dr. Shinohra (CTO of NTT) , special symposia by the International Industry Optoelectronics association on FTTH worldwide and also by SEV on FTTH in Switzerland and many talks on the technical aspects of FTTH during the conference.
