International Women's Day @ EPFL

The Chair of IEEE Switzerland, Maria-Alexandra Paun, will give a talk and there will be a stand of IEEE WIE Switzerland.

On 8 March 2018, the EPFL Alumni and Equality offices will join forces to organize an event on the theme 'Careers for Women... EPFL and beyond'. The evening aims to highlight women's careers in technical fields, inform and discuss the role of EPFL and other actors in advancing women's equality in technical fields, and to network and celebrate International Women's Day 2018 together.

The event will take place at the Forum Rolex, with the following program:

18:15     Doors open

18.45     Welcome address

18:50     Speech by a member of the EPFL Presidency

19:10     Round Table 'Careers for women - EPFL and beyond’, with the participation of 4-5 women EPFL Alumna engaged in various careers (academic research, industry, services, entrepreneurship. etc.). Moderation: Myret Zaki - Editor-in-Chief of Bilan

19h55    Concluding Remarks & presentation of the associations present

20h00    Networking & cocktail dinner 

This evening is also a platform for networks and associations that are committed to the place of women STEM education and careers. Interested associations and organizations are kindly invited to take part in the event. We will provide for each association a table and a poster board. Thank you for registering your organization through the online form until 19 February.

Participation is free of charge for EPFL members. For external persons representing an association or organization, a contribution of CHF 30.00 is requested (an exemption request can be sent to the EPFL Equality Office). We would be happy to count on your organization's presence and remain at your disposal for further information.
