Invitation to IEEEXtreme 11.0 24h programming competition

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of IEEE Switzerland which I am chairing, and with local support from the IEEE EPFL Student Branch, it is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the IEEEXtreme 24h programming competition, 11th edition. As you probably know, last year’s worldwide competition was won by a team from EPFL (Jakub Tarnawski, Andrii Maksai and Alfonso Peterssen) to which I was the proctor.

The competition will take place in room CO5, EPFL, from 14th of October 2017 (2 am) to 15th of October 2017 (2 am).
Full catering, including cold/hot beverages and pizza, sponsored by IEEE Switzerland, will be offered in the hallway, throughout the 24 hours of programming.

In order to participate in this competition “Participants must compete as part of a team. Teams are comprised of up to 3 IEEE student or graduate student members, but can only include a maximum of 2 graduate student members per team. All team members must be IEEE student or graduate student members to register and compete in the competition.”

If you would like to participate, I invite you to register online until 4th of October 2017, by accessing the following link: http://ieeextreme.org/.
Each team must have a Proctor. The Proctor for EPFL teams is myself (Dr. Maria-Alexandra Paun, Senior IEEE Member, Number 91258972).

If you are interested in programming and would like to code for 24 hours non-stop, please join us in this interesting competition. For your convenience, I will organize a 1 hour meeting, on 28th of September in room ELB 328, EPFL, from 16h to 17h, in order to answer administrative questions and explain the format of the competition.

If you have further questions to do hesitate to contact me at the e-mail address: maria-alexandra.paun@epfl.ch
I am looking forward to receiving your registrations for this competition.

Best regards,
Maria-Alexandra PAUN, PhD
